「象牙塔」一詞源於聖經，所羅門王用這個詞形容他愛人的脖子。十九世紀法國詩人用「生活在象牙塔裡」來形容括科學家和藝術家，他們非常專注從事其專業工作，不受外力的干擾，也不費心思去注意外界的事情。「象牙塔」一詞演變下來，也有了一點負面的含意，暗指一個知識分子，生活在孤立隔絕的環境中，不知道也不關心外面的事情，脫離了現實，不食人間煙火。（摘錄自劉炯朗部落格「我愛談天你愛笑」） 「象牙窟」紀錄了一位塵世間迷途小小工程師的所學所聞，也分享給有興趣的朋友們。ＩＴ之路雖然辛苦，也很迷人，常常一不小心就深陷問題的泥沼無法自拔，或是瞻仰著大師的傑作感動不已。「象牙」之意在於提醒自己多留點時間活在現實世界，「窟」則表示所學貧乏不足為塔，需再努力。 對這裡的任何資訊感興趣的話，歡迎來信交流：Qian.H.Huang@gmail.com
